2004 Draft Day

In spite of early morning rain and an overcast day, the sun came out as The Steering Committee for the Booster Clubs of the Oakland Raiders hosted its annual Draft Day event on Saturday, April 23, 2005 at Ricky's Sports Theatre and Grill in San Leandro.

We were surprised with an unexpected visit from Mars, none other than the great Otis Sistrunk. In attendance where over 300 boosters gathered to watch as our Raiders manouvered their way into the first round of the draft.

Jim Otto, a Booster Favorite also dropped by.

When you thought the fun could not get any better, the skys opened up and lo and behold none other than 'Howard Cosell' was on hand to report live on the SCBCOR Draft Day Party.

DJ Jammin J (Jimmy Palacios) and his co-DJ Jimmy were the MC's and treated the crowd to music favorites as well our Raider themes.

Missed for the day were Larry Mastin and Patricia Morris-Perryman, you two get well soon !

To add to the festivities, present were two Raiderettes (Wendy Barman and Janelle Kitayama).

Raiders players (Ronald Curry, Doug Gabriel, DeJuan Green, Corey Hulsey, Tim Johnson, Johnnie Morant (2004 Draft Pick), Terdell Sands, JP Foschi, Carlos Francis (2004 Draft Pick) Kevin Curtis, Cortney Anderson (2004 Draft Pick) and Chad Slaughter).

The venue gave the Steering Committee the opportunity to present Ronald Curry with his Committment to Excellence Award Trophy.
